28th May is the nominated date to complete the challenge. Time Zone is not relevant, it can be completed anywhere in the world on May 28 local time.
5 hour duration is a firm timing. All individuals, pairs or teams must complete the full 5 hours (excluding injury) to ensure they experience the full reality of what they are attempting.
· You can choose how to do this; you can do it as an individual if you wish. You can complete it as a team of 2, 3 or 4 people. Or you can choose to just have fun with it and do it with 10 people!!
· Teams can be all male, all female or mixed.
· We strongly suggest that if you have a team where there are significant height differences, that you have access to more than one yoke OR a fast method of adjusting.
Weights are purely up to you - the below weights are recommendations only:
· All male teams select a weight between 120 and 160 kilograms (265 and 350 pounds).
· All female teams select a weight between 70 and 120 kilograms (155 and 265 pounds).
· Mixed teams may select a weight between 70 and 160 kilograms (155 and 350 pounds).
· This is an event for total distance, you can drop and pick up again multiple times (obviously). We strongly suggest using a distance of around 15m (49.2 feet).
· Each participant can complete as many or as few laps as they choose provided they participate for the full 5 hours.
· Each individual or team can break for no longer than 15 minutes each hour. That break time can be taken in one hit or broken down into smaller breaks. Changeover is not considered break time unless exceeding 30 seconds each time.
· We have links on our donation page for our selected charities however these are personal to the founders and are not mandatory for participants to support.
· Any participant/s may nominate their own charity / cause to donate to. Participants may connect directly to the charity and arrange a link for donations that will be added to our donation page OR provide Strength 4 Strength with the details of their selected charity and we will contact them on your behalf.
· Strength 4 Strength will not collect any funds in this process, all donations must go directly to the chosen fundraiser or charity.
· Fundraising is not strictly limited to donations; each individual or team may carry out further fundraising in the form of raffles, seeking corporate sponsorship etc. and include these funds by adding them directly to the fundraising links.
Location is purely up to each individual or team. We strongly suggest completing this event indoors to avoid inclement weather.
